Mr. Charles Howard

Greetings JCES Parents and Stakeholders,

It is my pleasure to serve you as principal and instructional leader. This is my 27th year in education (17th year in educational leadership). Prior to becoming a principal, I had many leadership experiences including assistant principal, grade level chair and team leader, as well as athletic head coach. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education from Georgia Southwestern State University, a Master’s of Education from Troy University, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership from Cambridge College, and a Reading Endorsement from Georgia Southern University. 

I am beyond blessed to be a husband and father of two. They are the loves of my life. The same expectations that I have for my children are the expectations I have for your children, who I love as if they are my own.

It is my belief that hard work and strong relationships facilitate positive student outcomes. As the leader of this school, I am committed to taking care of the academic and emotional needs of each student. It is my hope that each student in our school excels and becomes a productive member of society. My daily goal is to provide a supportive climate and culture at JCES that is conducive to teaching and learning. As a result, each student and teacher can experience growth to their full potential. I look forward to working with all stakeholders in our school community this year.
