Mr. Charles Howard

Greetings JCES Parents and Stakeholders,

It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as the principal and instructional leader of JCES. With 28 years of experience in education—including 18 years in educational leadership—I bring a deep commitment to student success and school excellence. My journey in leadership has included roles as assistant principal, grade level chair, team leader, and head coach, each of which has shaped my belief in the power of teamwork, integrity, and high expectations.

My academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education from Georgia Southwestern State University, a Master’s in Education from Troy University, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership from Cambridge College. Additionally, I hold a Reading Endorsement from Georgia Southern University, reinforcing my dedication to literacy and foundational learning.

Beyond the professional realm, I am a proud husband and father of two wonderful children who are truly the center of my world. The same high standards I hold for my own children are the ones I hold for every student at JCES—because I care for them as if they were my own.

I firmly believe that hard work, strong relationships, and a supportive environment are the cornerstones of student achievement. As principal, I am committed to meeting the academic and emotional needs of every child. My daily mission is to cultivate a school climate that fosters growth, encourages learning, and empowers both students and staff to reach their fullest potential.

I am excited about the year ahead and look forward to partnering with you to ensure continued success for all students. Together, we can create a nurturing and high-achieving school community.
