JCES Teacher of the Year 2025

Congratulations to our Johnson County 2025 JCES Teacher of the Year, Ashton Stone. Mrs. Stone serves students in a self-contained special education classroom at Johnson County Elementary School, supporting learners from Head Start through fifth grade. She holds a Specialist in Education degree from Augusta University and is currently in her fifth year of service in special education. Mrs. Stone is deeply committed to fostering a love of learning for students with disabilities through intentional, hands-on instruction and individualized supports that meet students where they are. Her practice exemplifies the belief that all students must be afforded an equitable opportunity for meaningful progress—academically, socially, and behaviorally. She views teaching as a calling and approaches her work with compassion, high expectations, and unwavering advocacy for her students.
